We also managed to mosey on down to Seattle a couple of times while staying with my parents.
A Space Needle visit was in order--first time for the kids.
Near the Space Needle was a wonderful children's museum. I've been impressed with the kids' museums in the various towns north of Seattle as well, and that's saying something coming from the Land of Many Museums. At the one in downtown Seattle, I loved the little international "village" of homes and shops from other countries, and the kids did, too.
On one trip to town, we went down to the locks (sadly, the fish ladder was closed for cleaning, but we saw a large seal swimming around). When I realized we were in Ballard (a Seattle neighborhood), I suggested that we swing by Delancey. By that time, I knew it wasn't going to be ready, but given how infrequently we visit Seattle, we figured, what the heck.
No sign on the door yet, at least as of last week.
Sure enough, Brandon and Molly were there overseeing the wine rack installation. Molly was her gracious self. I miss reading her posts but they are clearly up to their elbows pulling the restaurant together. Next time we're in town, we'll stay for lunch.
